Wadsworth families come together on the field of Art Wright Stadium. From
past alumni to future graduates, events held on this field provide memories
for years to come. An entire stadium filled with Grizzly fans is an inspiration
to all. From the smallest kindergartner to our senior citizens, our sports
programs are the best because of the support from our families and
the great community of Wadsworth.
The Community Support Committee (see left navigation) is comprised of fathers, mothers, uncles, grandfathers, coaches, alumni and teachers - all pulling together to support our children in the quality Stadium Phase V project.
This is a community 'grass roots' project: Join us in our effort to improve our community
stadium, home to our many athletes and band members.
The project spans a wide range of improvements including, but not limited to:
- Widening the field to the regulation size soccer width
- Leveling the field; currently one side of the field is lower than the other by 4 feet
- Addressing the drainage
- Installing synthetic turf for a longer playing/practice season for many sports
- New visitor restrooms
- New visitor bleachers
To raise funds to assist the Board of Education in completing final phase of
Art Wright Stadium renovation.
To raise $350,000+ to contribute to synthetic field, visitor bleachers, and restroom renovations - including field maintenance and future replacement of the field; to help the Board of Education complete the final phase of the Wright Stadium renovation.
We are following the format of other Suburban League schools who raised money for stadium renovations.
